Baby Alpaca is finer than standard Alpaca, with a lower micron count for an even softer hand feel. In fact, the finest fibers often come from the first shearing of a young Alpaca, which is where the name originates, but the grade is defined by micron count, not the animal's age.
How to Care
Alpaca fiber is naturally, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and odor resistant, so your Alpaca items probably don't need to be cleaned as often as you think.
We strongly recommend spot cleaning or DRY CLEAN ONLY for your Fine Alpaca garments.
